I am a mountaineering instructor since many many years now and have used practically most of the modern gear. Just bought this new GRIVEL NIMSDAI 2 x 8 Figure of 8. It is light weight and has a curved shape which will be very useful in rappelling, both with more friction and with less friction due to it's unique shape. It is will be an excellent belay device too. Very soon it is going to be field tested in my Rock Climbing Camps for kids at Mt. ABU.
