About Tenji
As a small child Tenji Sherpa was naturally drawn to climbing - growing up in a remote village of Sanam Gudel the Himalayas were his garden. Surrounded by the Big Mountains and watching relatives conquer Everest, Tenji knew he would follow in their footsteps.
In 2019 Tenji became a certified IFMGA Guide, gaining his chance to climb and guide in the US, Japan, Alps and in his homeland, the Himalayas. Today, Tenji is one of the lead guides at Elite Exped and has an impressive climbing record. As an accredited IFMGA Mountain Guide, Tenji is an exceptional climber and leader – guiding from the front step by step. Tenji has a reputation for his patience, professionalism and eye for detail.
